(Vegan AF) — Starbucks continues to deliver on their promise to offer customers more plant-based options. They are currently testing a vegan whipped cream made from lentils at two of their locations in Seattle.
If all goes well, Starbucks will roll this out to additional locations and hopefully be available nationwide at some point in the future.
“If I were to say what is the the most dominant shift in consumer behavior is this whole shift to plant-based”, Starbucks CEO, Kevin Johnson stated earlier this year. “And that is a shift both in beverage and in food”, he said.
Starbucks currently offers customers four different non-dairy milk options being oat, soy, almond and coconut. They also sell a vegan pumpkin spice latte in the UK, but still no word on if or when they will carry that in the US.
