(Vegan AF) — Mark King, Taco Bell's new Chief Executive Officer, has confirmed their plans of adding a vegan meat option to their menu within the next year. “We definitely see that plant-based protein has a place on the menu,” said King.
Taco Bell has already met with Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods, but has yet to make a finial decision on which company they will partner up with. King recently tried Beyond Meat's options and he was impressed. “I tried all the food which was really exciting, and way beyond my expectation.”
Customers have always been able to swap out meat for beans on any of Taco Bell's items. But the addition of a vegan meat to their menu will give customers another delicious, cruelty-free option.
